Renting Tips

You have found a rental property that suits your needs and now you need to compete the application form.  The application form can be filled out through realestate.com.au, you can download the form off our website or call into our office and collect one in person. 

Please note we do not conduct home opens. Once your application is in its final stage of being approved by the owner we will arrange a private viewing. It is also a good idea to drive past the property.

Unable to view the property - Can someone view it on my behalf - Yes. Can I fill in a sight unseen form - Yes. 

Your application form needs to contain all the relevant information as per below - 

Rental Resume - Supply as much information that you can about yourself. 

Pets - If you have pet/s included a photo and advise if the pet/s are inside or outside. 

Photo Identification - Your driver's licence is the best form of ID. 

Reference Letters - A reference letter from a past landlord if you are renting privately. 

Rental History - Former addresses. Name and contact details of current, past landlords or agents. We will make contact with your landlord/agent and obtain a copy of your rental ledger. So keeping your rent up to date at all times is extremely important.

If you have never rented before but have owned your own home that is not a problem as you can provide proof of ownership. If you have sold the property, the agent selling agent may like to be a reference for you. 

Payslips Or A Full Income Statement - Showing that you can afford the rent. A screen shot of the transaction going into your bank will not be accepted. 

If your application is not approved we do not have to provide a reason.

• Is the property suitable for your needs (do you have pets or small children that require fenced yards.
• Check the availability date on the property to ensure it suits your time frame. 
• If you are wanting air conditioning don't apply for a property that only has ceiling fans.
